Principal Introduction 2026-27

Greg Isaac

Dear Red Rocks Community: 

I am excited to welcome our "RACCOONS" for the 2026-27 school year!  For those who are new, the kids call me "Mr. I," and I've taught in Title 1, GT, and international settings.  I serve as Red Rocks 504 coordinator as well.

Background: 

Farming lessons mattered. My grandparents modeled hard work and resourcefulness.

I started my career as a 6th grade teacher, leading overnight and outdoor field trips, with experience in 4th, 5th and 6th grades. One year teaching in England at an International Baccalaureate school left a lasting impression. I served as an assistant principal in DPS and Jeffco and a principal in private and public settings. 

My wife is a whiz at organizing and currently works with an organization committed to connecting rural communities with sustainable infrastructure. 

Our kids are grown! Way back when, our community helped us on a journey of adoption and foster care.  I hope you get to meet my kids, and I look forward to meeting your families.

Strengths coaching is a difference maker. I partner with a Strengths coach and I am grateful to bring Strengths-based mindsets to both our students and staff. It is powerful.

Hobbies: When not at school, you might find me at a state park, hiking and looking for birds, or stargazing! We love camping with our kids!

Why go into so much detail? Connections matter. Red Rocks has thrived with a "United for Children" touchstone for decades, and intentional unity is woven into our history. 

We have so much to celebrate as we enter the 2026-27 school year.  I look forward to connecting with our families and enjoying another strong year together.
